Texas License to Carry Course
Range & Proficiency Only

This is a portion of the course required by the state to obtain a Texas License to Carry (“LTC”). This is only the range and proficiency test portion of the LTC program.  THIS PORTION ALONE IS NOT SUFFICIENT FOR OBTAINING YOUR LTC.

If you have taken the classroom portion and passed the written test elsewhere, but still need to complete the range portion and shooting proficiency test, this is for you.  The duration will be between 1 and 2 hours on the range.

Interested students are encouraged to review the Texas Department of Public Safety information posted on its website regarding the LTC application process. You can complete your application online, begin your study of relevant statutes, and browse through frequently-asked questions. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Course Duration: 1-2 hours on the range including proficiency test.  (Mandated by law)

Cost: $60, separate range fees may apply.

Required Equipment: For the LTC course, you’ll need a reliable handgun (revolver or semi-automatic) and at least 50 rounds of ammunition. You’ll also need eye protection and ear protection. If you don’t have your own gun, ammo, or protective gear, WTHT can provide loaner equipment (semi-automatic only) and ammunition for you, with advance notice.
